Planning Ahead For Success

A couple weeks back I shared highlights and testimonies from our fall BASICcon. Believe it or not, we’ve already begun planning for the next one in the spring! With how much these have grown we’ve realized the need to begin planning much earlier than in the past. To my knowledge, this is the earliest we have ever started planning one of our conferences.

We’ve learned that if we want these to be the least amount stressful as possible and incredibly successful it takes much more advanced planning and prayer. I think the same is true of running your campus ministry.

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” – Benjamin Franklin

Too often we think we don’t have the time to plan things out ahead, but then it causes us to stress out rushing to plan last minute and we get rushed results. So, even though the first semester is just winding down, I want to challenge you this week by asking, “are you taking the time to plan ahead for the spring?”

You should definitely take a short break if needed to rest, recuperate, and spend time with family, but advanced planning for the spring will give you more time to plan great things and help you feel less stressed when the time comes. If you want to really do something great this next semester start planning now.
