Hey, it’s Katie!
My favorite Christmas Carol of all time is ‘Oh Come All Ye Faithful.’ It was the first Christmas carol I ever learned on piano, and it’s one of the only Christmas songs I truly feel the presence of God in.
The beautiful thing about the lyrics, is that it starts with and invitation.
‘Oh come!’ Come one, come all, to Bethlehem to see the king! The one we have been waiting for!
ALL are welcome to see Him. The shepherds, the wise men, the Angels. Sometimes I forget that even when I feel ashamed, distant, feeling as though I am not ‘spiritual enough’ to enter into the presence of Jesus, Jesus wants to see me. He wants to spend time with me, to remind me of how he sees me. I remember the heart of the Savior. The one that loved the lost, the poor, the broken, the sick, the outcast. Even at the birth of Jesus, when he was only a baby, it was clear that all are accepted and loved by Jesus.
Come, let us adore Him. The savior of the world who came for YOU, who came for the lost, who came for the broken. The one who came for all of mankind.
Come and be welcomed by Jesus, the one who came for ALL people.
